Dr Julia Harder brings to ECIR her background as a clinician, medical science liaison (MSL), medical writer, and published author, as well as her clinical knowledge in allergy/immunology, respiratory medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, renal disease, and geriatric pharmacy.
Dr Harder completed her pharmacy training at the University of California, San Diego. Following graduation, she spent 5 years as a clinical pharmacist for a hospice pharmacy benefit management company, providing clinical pharmacy services to hospices around the country. In this role, she gained experience providing end-of-life care to patients with a variety of diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart disease, and renal disease.
Dr Harder then spent 3 years as an MSL in Respiratory Medical Affairs, focused on asthma and COPD. As an MSL, Dr Harder gained experience in various aspects of Medical Affairs strategy and execution, including key opinion leader engagement, congress planning, learning and development, and clinical development.
Dr Harder joined ECIR in September 2017 and is currently Medical Director. At ECIR, she has gained broad medical communications experience, primarily focused in the allergy/immunology, pulmonary, and renal therapeutic areas.
