Associate Medical Director
Dr Samson has more than 6 years of experience across medical communications/publications, continuing pharmacy education, professional association management and pharmacy academia. He received his Master of Professional Writing degree in 2007 from the University of Southern California and his PharmD from Western University of Health Sciences in 2016. Following graduation, he worked in hematology/oncology medical communications and supported client teams in medical affairs, commercial and clinical development while serving as a freelance medical writer in HIV. During this time, he also served as an editorial and educational consultant for the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists, maintaining accreditation of continuing pharmacy education programs and precepting student pharmacists in professional association advocacy and involvement.
Dr Samson’s collective experience in medical communications includes KOL/HCP strategy and engagement (advisory boards, scientific platforms), MSL onboarding (competitive knowledge, training modules, field and educational assets), publications (manuscripts, abstracts, monographs, textbook chapters) commercial activities (promotional medical education, product theaters), congress management, and competitive intelligence. In his spare time, he is a semi-professional musician in the Greater Los Angeles Area and continues to support the profession of pharmacy as a preceptor, educator and lifelong learner.
